Additional Atlanta Activities for UGA graduates and friends
The UGA Alumni Association Atlanta Alumni Center coordinates many events in the metro Atlanta area. This means that you have numerous opportunities to gather with other Bulldogs outside of your chapter. Visit the Atlanta Programs and the Calendar page for details. The icon on the Calendar site indicates which events are coordinated by the UGA Alumni Association Atlanta Office.
Career Panel for the Rebound Program of the Dekalb County Juvenile Justice Center
Panelists included DeKalb County Chapter Board members. The chapter provided pizzas for the young men of the Rebound program. The Dekalb County Chapter positively influenced with educational and career advice.
Natasha Trethewey Recognition

Bill Thomas ‘88, president of the DeKalb County Chapter, presented Natasha Trethewey ‘89, a special proclamation from the UGA Alumni Association in recognition of her book receiving the Pulitzer Award for Poetry.

The DeKalb County Chapter placed a Book of Honor in the UGA Library in the name of Natasha Trethewey, graduate and Pulitzer Prize winner.
