Langford Family

e_langfordJames “Jim” Beverly Langford, Jr.(’74 ABJ), of Calhoun, Ga. is part of a three generation UGA legacy which began with his father, the late Beverly Langford, Sr.(’47 LLB), who is a former Bulldog cheerleader, state legislator and successful attorney.

Langford’s sisters, Judy Carter ‘71 and Lucie Canfield ‘78 each received a degree in education.

Langford is currently Project Executive for Linger Longer Development Corporation and owner and CEO of Langford and Associates and has enjoyed a highly interesting and successful career. After leaving the University of Georgia, Langford engaged in numerous and exciting ventures that included earning a Master’s degree in business administration from Harvard and living and working in various places around the world. He is married to the former Barbara Mauldin (’76 ED) of Hartwell who teaches in Calhoun, Ga.

Their daughter, Kate is scheduled to graduate this May and her younger sister Claudia, who is a high school senior, was accepted to both UGA and Georgia Tech. She chose Georgia and will enter this fall.

In addition to these three generations of Bulldogs, Langford’s uncle, Charles (’51 BS) and a nephew, Jason Carter (’04 JD), also graduated from UGA.
