Joy Colwell Motter Joy graduated from The University of Georgia in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism – Public Relations and a minor in Music Education. She is also a member of The University of Georgia Alumni Association, Women of UGA and a past member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association. From January 2001 through January 2004, Joy served on the Board of Directors of Children’s International Lifeline, a feeding and Christian education mission ministry to the children of Haiti. Joy joins her husband Todd as the co-owner of Joyous Celebrations & Occasions, a specialty company providing both live musicians and event planning guidance for private and corporate clients in the Atlanta area since 1993. Joy also served as Assistant to the Director of North Atlanta School of the Arts from 2005 to 2008. In April 2009, she joined the staff of The Thrifty Nickel Classifieds where she serves as the Public Relations Coordinator. Joy married her childhood sweetheart, Todd, 27 years ago. The couple’s son Michael, is 18 and was graduated from North Cobb Christian School in May 2009. He will be attending Kennesaw State University in the fall. Their daughter Michelle, is sixteen, and will be attending Etowah High School in the fall.
