Karon Lennon

Lennon is the founder and CEO of Beyond Z Interactive Media - a leader in interactive television and cross-platform production services. Lennon and Beyond Z received the first Interactive Television Primetime Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) awarded for its work on the enhanced television production of Band of Brothers with HBO. In 2005/2006, Beyond Z completed the first NFL application for the Washington Redskins on Microsoft MCE. This application was also a finalist for the 2006 ITV Primetime Emmy. She is involved with many industry organizations including serving as Chair of the Interactive Television Alliance, Mentor and Producer for the American Film Institute’s Digital Content Lab, current voting Member of ATAS and Blue Ribbon judge for the ITV Emmy on behalf of the New Media Peer Group of ATAS. She was the recipient of the 2006 Leadership Award in Interactive Television from itvt. Prior to forming Beyond Z, Lennon was Vice President, Next Generation Platforms for The Weather Channel. Prior to The Weather Channel, she envisioned and initiated the business to consumer strategy for online travel transaction processing at Worldspan. Lennon completed her International Business undergraduate degree in the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. She went on to scholarship graduate study in International Marketing at The Friederich Alexander Universitat in Germany, returning to the US to complete a Masters in Marketing at Georgia State University.
