Claire Robb

Assistant Professor of Epidemiology; MPH/DrPH Graduate Coordinator at UGA’s College of Public Health

Claire Robb is an assistant professor of epidemiology at UGA’s College of Public Health who has studied the well being of older breast cancer survivors. Claire Robb has recently been named by the Georgia Cancer Coalition as a Distinguished Cancer Scholar for 2008-09. The coalition selects scientists engaged in the most promising areas of cancer research who can strengthen the state’s research talent, capacity, infrastructure and funding. Her research has focused on physical function and psychosocial factors that impact older cancer patients. Her goal is to better understand factors that contribute to treatment outcomes in older patients and to eliminate disparities in treatment of the elderly.

Dr. Robb received her Ph.D. and M.P.H. from the University of South Florida. Her research interests include Cancer survivorship, health disparities and quality of life, and functional disability in community-dwelling older adults.
